Russia launched nearly 300 strike drones – most of them Shaheds – and 50 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles, at Ukraine tonight. Energy infrastructure was the primary target, but homes and the railway were hit as well.
In the Kyiv region, the attack damaged buildings and started fires in several districts. In the village of Putrivka, in the Fastiv district, rescuers pulled eight people, including a child, from the rubble. One person was killed. Fifteen people were injured across the region, among them four children.
The Odesa region was also attacked during the night. Energy facilities were damaged, and fires broke out.
Ukraine urgently needs stronger air defence, particularly systems that can intercept ballistic missiles. Sustained international support helps protect critical infrastructure and saves lives.
