🏛️ When missiles strike cathedrals, museums, or universities, they target far more than buildings. They attack a nation's historical memory, cultural heritage, and identity itself.
📖 This is the focus of my latest opinion article, published by the Colombian newspaper El Espectador. In it, I examine why Russia's aggression against Ukraine is aimed not only at occupying territory but also at destroying cultural heritage, distorting history, and erasing the national memory of the Ukrainian people.
From attacks on UNESCO World Heritage sites to the destruction of museums, universities, and architectural landmarks, these are not isolated incidents of war but part of a systematic policy that threatens not only Ukraine, but also Europe's and the world's shared cultural heritage.
