On April 3, during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, a veterinary clinic in Chabany, near Kyiv, was struck.

Animals inside the facility — some undergoing treatment and others in temporary care — were trapped. Emergency teams carried out evacuation efforts, provided oxygen, and stabilised the injured.

Not all could be saved. Russia continues to carry out attacks causing casualties and destruction. Ukraine emphasises the need to hold Russia accountable for its crimes.
