One year ago, following the agreements reached in Jeddah, Ukraine and the United States proposed a full ceasefire to Russia. In the 365 days that have passed since then, Russia has not once agreed to any steps that would bring peace closer.

Instead, it has chosen only to intensify its terror against civilians, including a campaign of attacks against Ukraine's energy infrastructure during the coldest winter days.

Russia's actions speak louder than its words. They demonstrate that Russia continues to choose aggression and the destabilisation of global security.

Peace can only be achieved through coordinated pressure on Russia, which requires principled and consistent action. The aggressor state must remain isolated, and any normalisation of Russia's aggression is unacceptable. We call for increased pressure and sanctions on Russia, as well as strong defence support for Ukraine. Because this is the only path to a just and lasting peace.
