On the night of 7 March, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine using 29 missiles, nearly half of them ballistic, and 480 drones, most of them Shahed-type.
In Kharkiv, the attack killed at least 11 people and injured more than 16, including children. According to available information, people may still have been trapped under the rubble.
A Russian ballistic missile completely destroyed the entrance section of a residential building in Kharkiv.
Russia also targeted energy infrastructure in Kyiv and in the Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi regions, as well as railway infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region.
Damage was also reported in the Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy and Cherkasy regions.
These brutal attacks require a strong response from international partners.
