Europe must introduce a full EU-wide entry ban for Russian citizens who took part in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha has stressed. This is a matter of long-term European security and the protection of EU citizens from individuals who committed violence abroad.
Those who chose to fight in the war of aggression must also accept the consequences of that choice – including being barred from entering the EU.
Estonia has already shown leadership by implementing national measures and proving that this mechanism works. We call on the EU to extend this approach across all member states.
